This 8 Week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course offers a highly effective approach to reducing the negative impact of stress on our health, relationships, and peace of mind, while increasing our capacity to handle daily challenges with confidence and ease. Mindfulness meditation techniques are taught and practiced in a supportive class environment. This program has been taught and researched for over 35 years in top medical centers. It has been found to provide benefit for a number of stress-related issues, notably chronic pain, several health conditions, and symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Orientation begins Monday, February 11 and classes beginning Februay 18 will be held from 6-8 pm on Mondays. In addition, an all-day retreat on Saturday, April 6 will be held from 9:30 am to 4 pm. We will not meet March 11 due to Spring Break.
Participants must commit to the entire 8-week program. Practice outside of class is an important part of the program's effectiveness. The cost is $300 by the first day of class. Payment plans are available. Some Health Savings Accounts will cover the cost of the class. Check with your insurance plan. Mental Health professionals qualify for a $100 discount.
