This 8 week formal mindfulness program is designed to develop self-compassion, empathy, and resilience in children ages 7-12. The program is a fun and engaging way for children to develop important social-emotional skills to better handle the daily challenges and stress that come with being a kid. Brief videos, games, art, mindful movement, and mindfulness meditation practices are all built into the weekly classes. This program can benefit any child, but especially those who struggle with self-acceptance, connection with others, feelings of overwhelm, and low frustration tolerance.
There is a free parent and child orientation on April 30 at 6 pm.
The class will be led by Amy Balentine, psychologist and mindfulness meditation teacher.
The cost is $295, with $95 due by the first day of class. Some Health Savings Accounts may be used to cover the cost. Insurance may be used if there is a mental health diagnosis. Some plans accepted.
