Leanna Baldner, LPC-MHSP
I am Leanna, a mental health therapist who helps men, women, and teens create deeper connections to themselves, others, and the world around them.
Many of my clients feel trapped in the same, repetitive relationship cycles. Like them, maybe you have the lingering thought that you are always the problem or simply too defective to be loved. Maybe you have sought support from friends, asked AI, or tried therapy, yet you still find yourself pulling away when people get too close or pursuing a partner who remains out of reach. These patterns are not flaws, but survival strategies created to protect you from feeling pain or ending up alone.
Because these patterns live in your body, talking about and understanding them is often not enough. Your nervous system does not care what you know but responds to what it expects. As your therapist, rather than getting stuck in the why behind your thoughts, I get curious about how your body is responding to your story and how your protector parts are working to keep you from losing control. By integrating somatic experiencing, internal family systems, and attachment work, I can help you bridge the gap between your mind, body, and emotions to connect you to your whole self and heal your wounded parts. Our work together maybe especially helpful if you are hoping to:
Develop a deeper understanding of who you are to live more authentically in relationships
Let go of old patterns in order to improve your relationship with yourself, others, and the world around you
Build insight into how your past experiences have influenced your present choices, feelings, and needs in your closest relationships
Gain practical tools to calm your nervous system when relationships feel overwhelming
If this sounds familiar, I would love to connect.
A little more about me:
When I am not in the office, movement is my medicine. Whether I am running on a treadmill, walking outside, lifting weights, practicing yoga, or learning self-defense, I find it is essential for my sanity. Iām also a fan of coffee shops, Wednesday Addams, and the quiet of a rainy day. I love traveling to new and familiar places and believe that life, like therapy, is about showing up, embracing the messiness, and doing it all with the people you love by your side.
